Lawyer Ashraf Farahat, defending artist Badria Tolba, submitted a report to the Public Prosecutor against a woman on charges of insult, slander, and misuse of social networking sites.

Farahat confirmed in his report that the artist, Badriya Tolba, submitted a report to the Public Prosecutor against one of the women via social networking sites, who bears the name Faten Ramadan, against the backdrop of the media and news websites following the death of director Mustafa Salem, the husband of the artist, Badriya Tolba, last Sunday while she was in Paris for some time. Farahat added: This matter has been addressed, conveying the artist’s anger at the comment, and since what the complainant committed against her intentionally is considered slander against the complainant, and she also committed the misuse of social media in accordance with Law No. 175 of 2018 regarding combating information technology crimes. The report calls for the necessary action to be taken. Arresting and bringing the complainant against her, investigating what happened and referring her to urgent trial.
