With a value of 3 billion and 140 million pounds… Solidarity announces the Takaful and Karama disbursement for the month of November tomorrow

Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister, announced Solidarity Social Security Fund, disbursing cash support under the umbrella of Solidarity and Dignity, for the month of November, to 4.7 million families, tomorrow, Friday, November 15, with a value of 3 billion and 140 million pounds, as the beneficiaries begin disbursing in the early hours of Friday morning through all ATM machines. The machines are available to banks spread across the country. They can also make electronic payments, and all government transactions and purchases.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity formed an operations room to follow up the process of disbursing aid under the Solidarity and Dignity programme. There is also coordination with governors and directors of social solidarity directorates to follow up on the progress of disbursement operations.

It is worth noting that cash support is provided to 4.7 million vulnerable families, including approximately 22 million citizens, with a budget of 41 billion pounds annually.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity has finished adding all the families remaining on the waiting lists for the conditional cash support program, Takaful and Dignity, to receive cash support assistance, thus ending the waiting lists in the Takaful and Dignity program, as 175,000 new families had previously been added from the waiting lists to receive them. The Takaful and Karama cash support program, during the past months of July, August and September.

Procedures for obtaining Takaful and Karama support

Through its official website, the Ministry of Social Solidarity clarified the procedure for obtaining cash support for solidarity and dignity, as the citizen wishing to obtain solidarity and dignity must go to the social unit affiliated with the applicant’s place of residence, and submit a number of required documents, which are:

  • Photocopies of a valid national ID card at the current address for individuals 18 years or older.
  • Photos of marriage or divorce certificate.
  • Copies of the birth certificate for all family members, automated computer certificate for individuals under 18 years of age.
  • A copy of the automated ration card with the name of the ration office recorded, if any.
  • School registration for all children from 6 to 18 years and student registration for university students.
  • Disability disclosure code from medical committees in the case of chronic illness and disability.
  • A copy of the death certificate of the husband/wife for widows.
  • A copy of the abandonment certificate or evidence of separation.
  • A copy of the guardianship declaration for orphans.
  • A copy of the prison certificate for cases of imprisonment of the father or mother.
