Artist Alaa Morsi revealed his opinion about the prohibition of art, and also cited words by Sheikh Muhammad Metwally Al-Shaarawi about art.
Alaa Morsi: Whoever fights art is ignorant and backward. And Al-Shaarawi said that what is permissible is permissible
Alaa Morsi said in a special statement to Cairo 24: Whoever forbids art is ignorant and backward. Art is creativity, and creativity comes from the wonderful name of God, like the sun and trees. Art is not singing or acting. Art is life, and we must be conscious in attacking who and when.
He added: Sheikh Al-Shaarawi said that art is permissible and forbidden is forbidden, and acting is like any profession in which it is permissible and forbidden.
It is worth noting that Alaa Morsi recently participated in the movie Marei El Primo, starring Mohamed Henedy. It was written by Ihab Bleibel and directed by Saeed Hamed. Ghada Adel, Ahmed Badir and others participated in the work, but the work did not achieve the expected success.
Morsi is awaiting the screening of the film “The Origin of the Story,” written and directed by Mohamed Amin, with Khaled Al-Sawy, Hala Fakher, Karim Afifi, and others participating in the work. So far, the producing company has not determined the final date for the show.
On the other hand, Alaa Morsi finished filming the series Esh Esh, starring Mai Omar, written and directed by Mohamed Sami, and with the participation of Majed Al-Masry, Intisar, Hala Sedqi, Mohamed Al-Sharnoubi, Shaima Saif, Essam Al-Sakka, Tariq Al-Nahri, and others.
He also appeared as a guest of honor in the series 6 Months, starring Nour Al-Nabawi, which is shown on the Watch It platform, and which has achieved a large viewership rate since its first episode was shown.
