The Ministry of Social Solidarity participated in the Arab Women’s Organization exhibition for handicrafts and traditional industries, in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Ministry of Social Solidarity. The exhibition was held on the sidelines of the launch of the activities of the Regional Conference on Women’s Entrepreneurship in the Arab World.
Solidarity: We care about women’s economic empowerment and supporting traditional handicrafts
Magda Nour El-Din, General Manager of the Marketing and Exhibitions Department, and Hend Shafik from the Exhibitions Department were present at the exhibition to ensure that all the exhibitors’ demands were met and to overcome any obstacles facing them.
Rami Abbas, Advisor to the Minister of Social Solidarity for Public Relations and Protocol, stated that the Ministry is participating as a main sponsor in the exhibition, within the framework of its interest in the economic empowerment of women and supporting the traditional handicraft product that is distinguished by its craftsmanship. In addition to providing the opportunity for the products of productive families to exchange experiences in a way that enhances their competitive capabilities vis-à-vis foreign products.
Abbas added that the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s pavilion at the exhibition includes a number of distinguished exhibits of handicraft and heritage products that express heritage industries, such as clothing, Talli works, leather goods with heritage designs inspired by the local environment, accessories, embroidery works on cloth, and other products. Handcrafted with precision craftsmanship and quality materials.
Many businesswomen from Arab countries participate in the handicrafts and traditional industries exhibition for Arab women to display their handicrafts and traditional industries products.
