Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, said that the party achieved a victory in the war with Israel that exceeds the victory in 2006, explaining that they prevented Israel from destroying or weakening the resistance. “We are in the battle of the ‘powerful’, facing a great victory that exceeds the victory of July 2006.”
He added, “The enemy set a goal for its war, which is to annihilate our forces… which is to strike the leadership system… but we regained our strength… we decided to support Gaza because it is a humanitarian and Islamic responsibility.”
He explained that the occupation bet on internal strife with the hosts, and this bet was a failure due to cooperation between the sects and forces, pointing out that the resistance proved through war that it is ready, and the plans drawn up by Hassan Nasrallah are effective and take into account all developments.
He pointed out that Hezbollah was able to stand steadfast on the front and began striking the enemy’s internal front, which put the situation in an important defensive state.
He continued, “The war was built by the occupation 64 days ago on the basis of annihilating Hezbollah, returning the population of the north, and working to build a new Middle East. When we launched the support front, we repeated that we do not want war, but we are ready for it if the Israeli enemy imposes it.”
He continued, “One of the scenes of the enemy’s defeat is the image of our people returning and the settlers not returning on the other side.”
