For his part, Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Authority, explained in a statement a short while ago that participating in this exhibition is a good opportunity to enhance Egypt’s position among the leading destinations in the field of conference and incentive tourism, as well as to emphasize the diversity and multiplicity of tourist attractions in Egypt and its ability to receive this type of tourism. .
Participating in the opening of the Egyptian pavilion were Mohamed Salama, Head of the Central Administration of Tourist Offices at the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, Hend Radwan, Head of the Spanish Market at the General Administration of Foreign Offices at the Authority, Dr. Nader El-Beblawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Travel and Tourism Companies and Agencies, and Ali Ghoneim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Goods and Ordinary Stores. Tourism, Ghada Al-Khatib, Director General of the EgyptAir Office in Spain and Portugal, and Ahmed Ali, Director of the EgyptAir Office in Barcelona.
During participation in the exhibition, Mohamed Salama held a number of professional meetings with groups of representatives of a number of major companies specialized in incentive tourism, during which they talked about Egypt’s elements that qualify it for the incentive tourism and conferences product (MICE) and its ability to organize events, meetings, and conferences.
During the Egyptian pavilion participating in the exhibition, presentations were given to pavilion patrons, during which the Egyptian tourist destination’s capabilities and capabilities for incentive tourism were reviewed, which would contribute to encouraging international companies and institutions to organize major events and conferences in Egypt.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities participated in this exhibition with a pavilion with an area of 100 square meters, which includes 5 tourism companies, 4 Egyptian hotels, in addition to the EgyptAir office in Spain.
About 50 countries participated in the exhibition and was visited by about 15,000 professionals and those involved in incentive tourism and conferences.
