Mai Abdel Hamid explained that a meeting was held with Dalia El-Baz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Post, yesterday evening, Monday, December 2, 2024, where it was agreed to increase the number of mechanized post offices to 590 post offices nationwide, in order to make it easier for citizens wishing to purchase the specifications booklet. She pointed out that there is no need to crowd in front of post offices to obtain the conditions booklet, as the point is not to purchase the conditions booklet in advance, but rather with the priority system that the Fund applies and that is determined in advance, stressing the need for citizens to upload the completed documents to the Fund’s website https://shmff.gov. .eg/.
Mai Abdel Hamid added that after the announcement is closed, and according to what is stated in the conditions booklet on page 43, the priority system will be applied in the event that the number of reserved applicants from low-income clients exceeds the number of available units, or the number of middle-income clients with special needs increases only. About (5%) of the number of units available in the announced centers/cities, and priority is given to the married person with dependents, then the widow/widower with dependents, then the divorced/divorced person with dependents, then the married person with no dependents, then the single person, which includes (The divorced person with no dependents, the widower with no dependents, the widow with no dependents, the divorced woman with no dependents), and priority is given to the family with the least number (in the case of a married/widowed/divorced person with dependents, and in the case of equal numbers, priority is given to the eldest).
She added that the requests of customers who have paid the serious reservation deposit, were not able to register their requests on the electronic portal during the announcement period, and did not withdraw the serious reservation advance amount, are accepted to register and sort their requests before the end of the grievance period.
Mai Abdel Hamid explained that rejected citizens (who do not meet the conditions of the announcement) will be notified after the end of the grievance period of withdrawing the amounts paid by mail within 14 days from the date of announcing the rejection, and citizens who did not have units available (outside priority) will be notified after the end of the grievance period in case Applicants applying for residential units, and were unable to reserve residential units during the allotted period and paid a serious advance amount for the reservation, will be notified of the withdrawal of the amounts paid by mail within 30 days from the date of its announcement.
