The Ministry of Social Solidarity announced the closing of applications for members of civil society organizations wishing to perform the Hajj for the Hajj season 1446 AH – 2025 AD, tomorrow, Thursday, November 28, and the application window will not be extended after this date.
Members of civil society organizations wishing to perform Hajj continue to apply, as the Supreme Committee for Hajj, headed by the Prime Minister, has allocated 12,000 visas to be implemented through the National Hajj Facilitation Foundation affiliated with the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity has specified a number of conditions that must be met by anyone wishing to perform the Hajj for this season, including that he be a member of the general assembly of the civil association whose membership he is registered upon submitting the application, and that the annual subscription has been paid, whether he is an active member or an affiliate, and that the association or institution must be registered before the 30th of May. June 2024 AD, and no penalties were imposed on the association or institution as a result of legal or financial violations proven against it by a final ruling, nor has the applicant wishing to perform Hajj is obligatory throughout his life, and the winning pilgrims will be verified only after the announcement of the lottery result.
Among the conditions that must be met by the applicant to perform the Hajj pilgrimage is that he must be fully qualified to perform the rituals, and be of Egyptian nationality. When determining the age of the applicant, the date of February 19, 2025 AD, corresponding to Shaaban 20, 1446 AH, is taken into account, as the applicant’s age is not less than 25 years, and the accompanying person is excluded from this. One of the parents is at least 18 years old, and it is not required to have a legal mahram for women under 45 years old.
The following medical categories will not be allowed to apply to perform Hajj rituals, as they are most at risk of infection, according to the instructions of the Egyptian Ministry of Health. They are: kidney failure patients whose treatment requires dialysis, lung fibrosis patients, cases of morbid obesity, and advanced cases of diabetes. People with diseases of the heart – blood vessels – cirrhosis – tumors, pregnant women in the first and last months, psychological diseases and Alzheimer’s according to approved medical reports, and active infectious diseases that have an impact on public health in human populations, such as “pulmonary tuberculosis.” The National Foundation for Hajj Facilitation has the right to request a medical re-examination of the pilgrims who won the lottery to verify their ability to perform the Hajj rituals and meet the health conditions for them, in the hospitals designated by the management of the National Hajj Facilitation Foundation. The Foundation has the right to exclude cases that prove their health inability to perform the rituals.
