The Fayoum Criminal Court, held today, Monday, under the chairmanship of Counselor Adham Abu Zekry and the membership of Counselors Muhammad Abdel Tawab Al-Anani and Amr Abu Al-Asrar, and the secretariat of Nassif Amin, is considering the seventh session of the trial of Ramadan Muhammad Belidi, 28 years old, imprisoned, and his brother Ahmed, 26 years old, a fugitive, who are accused of murder. Their partner, Saeed Hashem Abdel Maqsoud.
The court met last May and decided to postpone today’s session to hear the arguments of the defendants’ defense.

Case details

Details of the incident are received by the security services of the Security Directorate FayoumA notification from Brigadier General Islam Latif, Chief of Fayoum Police Station, stating that Saeed Hashem Abdel Maqsoud was killed by a gunshot and that his body was found in the Damu desert.

Investigations by Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Fretam, head of the center’s investigations, reported that the crime was due to disputes over drug trafficking and that two brothers were behind its commission: Ramadan Muhammad Balidi, 28 years old, in prison, and Ahmed Muhammad Balidi, 26 years old, on the run. They kidnapped the victim to one of the desert lands in the Damo area to demand a ransom. An amount of 30 thousand pounds to resolve the disputes between them, which led to the clash and the firing of gunshots, which resulted in the death of the victim.

A report on the incident was prepared and referred to the Public Prosecution, which initiated investigations and referred the incident to the Criminal Court, which issued its previous decision.
