Today, Monday, the Iraqi Parliament will hold a special session to discuss Israeli threats to launch a military strike against Iraqi sites, according to media reports.

Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, said in press statements, “The Iraqi Parliament has set a date for Monday to hold a session to discuss the Zionist threats, where part of the session will be public and the other will be secret.”

He stated that the Iraqi Parliament “does not fear Zionist threats and does not accept any attack on Iraq’s sovereignty in any form, and will take all measures and steps within the legal and diplomatic paths and support the government in this direction.”

Sparing Iraq any attack or harm to its security

He also stated that the Iraqi parliament “will use all capabilities to open dialogues and communication channels with influential countries to spare Iraq from any attack or harm to its security.”

Iraq is living in a state of extreme anticipation and caution after Israel announced directing military action against Iraq against the backdrop of Iraqi armed factions launching almost daily drone strikes against military targets and sites inside the occupied territories.
