Today, Thursday, rain prayers are held throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Saudi ArabiaAt the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, according to what was reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
The Royal Court in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia said in a statement: Following the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, to hold the rain prayer, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect and preserve him – called for the rain prayer to be held throughout the Kingdom on Thursday, corresponding to 26 of the month of Jumada al-Awwal 1446 AH according to the Umm al-Qura calendar.

He added: Everyone should increase their repentance, seek forgiveness, return to God Almighty, be kind to His servants, increase the voluntary acts of obedience such as alms, prayers, and remembrances, and make things easy for God’s servants and relieve their distress. Perhaps God will release us and facilitate for us what we hope for, and every capable person should be keen to do so. Performing prayer, in accordance with the Sunnah of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and demonstrating lack of God Almighty, with Being persistent in supplication, for God loves His servants to supplicate a lot and be persistent in it.
He concluded: We ask God Almighty to have mercy on the country and the people, and to answer the prayers of His servants, and to make what He sends down a mercy for them and a provision for a while. He is the Hearer and the Answerer, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
