Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of the Public Business Sector, conducted an extensive field tour of the Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in Mahalla El-Kubra, affiliated with the Holding Company for Cotton, Spinning and Weaving, to find out the latest developments in development projects and the progress of work in various sites within the national project to develop the textile industry, following his visit. The Minister was briefed on the progress of work and production in the new “Ghazal 4” factory, which is built on an area of 24.6 thousand square meters, and the sales and export operations, which represent the majority of its production, and the trial operation of the new “Ghazal 1” factory, which includes the largest number of factories under one roof (about 183 One thousand square meters) with an area of 62.5 thousand square meters, and the start of operating trials in the new “Textile Preparations 1” factory, as well as the start of the installation of modern machines in the new “Textile Preparations 2” factory.
During his tour, Engineer Shimi reviewed the progress of work in the following factories: the new “Spinning 6” factory with an area of 17.7 thousand square meters, the new complex for weaving and dyeing with an area of about 77 thousand square meters, and the final testing stages of the new power station in preparation for launching the electrical current. The Minister met with representatives of the implementing maqalout companies, stressing the need to intensify work to complete all projects according to the specified timings after pressing schedules.
Engineer Muhammad Shimi was also keen to follow up on the work of raising the efficiency of existing factories, as he inspected a number of spinning, weaving and detailing factories, and followed up on the operation of some of the stopped machines after carrying out the necessary maintenance work and providing spare parts, stressing the necessity of operating factories with maximum production capacities and making optimal use of all available capabilities and continuing Improving the work environment and fully adhering to occupational safety and health standards, in the presence of Rasha Omar, Assistant Minister, Dr. Ahmed Shaker, Executive Managing Director of the Holding Company for Cotton, Spinning and Weaving, and Eng. During the visit, Engineer Mohamed Shimi confirmed that the Mahalla Spinning Company is one of the most prominent and important industrial castles in Egypt, noting that the company represents a major aspect of the national project to develop the spinning and weaving industry, this vital industry that contributes greatly to the national economy, which aims to Doubling production capacities, improving quality and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products in local and international markets, explaining that the Mahalla Spinning Company, as one of the largest spinning and weaving companies in Egypt, is a model for these major reforms that include all factories. sector, which includes introducing the latest machines and equipment to develop production lines, and training and qualifying human cadres to keep pace with these modern technologies.
