The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, represented by the General Authority for Supply Commodities, contracted for a quantity of 290,000 tons of imported wheat, as follows: 120,000 tons of Romanian wheat, 120,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat, and 50,000 tons of Bulgarian wheat.
This comes within the framework of the political leadership’s directives to enhance the country’s stocks of various strategic commodities and diversify origins.
The authority added in a statement today that the arrival date of wheat is during December 2024, thus bringing the adequacy of the strategic stock of ration wheat to 5 months.
