The Governor of the Indian Central Bank, Shaktikanta Das, warned that although global central banks were able to achieve a “soft landing” for the economy in the face of a series of “persistent and unprecedented pressures,” there is a real risk of a return to global inflation and a slowdown in economic growth.
He added that despite the smooth decline, there are still risks of a return of inflation and a slowdown in growth, according to his statements to CNBC.
Das emphasized that challenges arising from geopolitical conflicts, the disintegration of the global economy, commodity price volatility, and climate change continue to increase, indicating that the stability achieved so far may come under additional pressure.
