The Project Development Agency organized a training course for owners of heritage projects participating in the sixth session of the Our Heritage Exhibition, in the presence of one hundred exhibitors, in addition to hundreds of exhibitors from the governorates who participated in the online workshop, in order to train them on modern marketing mechanisms related to pricing, packaging, contract management, and organizing exhibits, in a manner consistent with Requirements of various local and international exhibitions. The organization of the workshop comes within the framework of the agency’s keenness to raise the marketing capabilities of project owners, especially women, as well as qualifying them to participate in exhibitions organized or in which the agency participates, by giving them the necessary training to maximize their chances of achieving positive marketing results through their participation in various exhibitions, most notably Our Heritage Exhibition for Handicrafts and Heritage is the largest regional forum for handicrafts and heritage, the sixth edition of which will be launched under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, on December 12.
The workshop was attended by Mr. Basil Rahmi, CEO of the Agency, Dr. Raafat Abbas, and Mr. Hatem Al-Ashry, the Executive Vice Presidents, and it was organized in coordination between the Agency, UNIDO, and the Canadian Embassy, and with the participation of many people interested in the marketing aspect and electronic payment systems, including the Egyptian Postal Authority and iFinance.
On the sidelines of the workshop, Rahmi announced the new financing program, “Harfa Microfinance Project,” which is being presented in cooperation with Aman Company, with a total of 25 million pounds allocated to handicraft and heritage micro-projects that have a (tax card – commercial registry) with the aim of establishing new projects. Or assisting projects based on development and expansion, especially in production clusters spread throughout the Republic in the border governorates and areas most in need.
Rahmi stressed that funding is available through Aman Company to all artists and craftsmen in all governorates and is not limited to participants in the Our Heritage Exhibition. He also explained the need for owners of handicrafts and heritage to reconcile their situations and work on correct and legal foundations to ensure the greatest possible benefit from the various services provided by the state to project owners. In various forms, including facilitating their participation in central, regional and international exhibitions.
The head of the Enterprise Development Agency added that the agency is working to achieve an appropriate degree of diversity in the necessary services for the traditional crafts sector, including financing, technical, and marketing, to strengthen projects operating in this important and vital sector and help craft project owners develop their businesses to create more job opportunities, in addition to working to help women to Improving their economic levels.
It is worth noting that the sixth session of the Our Heritage Exhibition, which is organized by the Enterprise Development Authority under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, will begin on Thursday, December 12, and end on December 21, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, with the participation of more than a thousand exhibitors, craftsmen, and artists from all governorates of Egypt.
