Dr. Hamouda Al-Gazzar, Head of the Health Sector in Cairo, directed hospital managers to achieve the lowest rates of medical device malfunctions, complete electromechanical maintenance work, as well as manage the hospital’s inventory optimally.

Directions of the President of Cairo Health to hospital directors

Dr. Hamouda Al-Gazzar’s directive came during his meeting with the Cairo Health work team, represented by hospital directors, and directors of technical and administrative departments at the office of the Cairo Health Directorate.

The head of Cairo Health discussed several points during the meeting, the most important of which are:

  1. Emphasizing all managers to follow up on the hospital’s performance indicators, review them personally, analyze them, and match them with the reality of the hospital.
  2. Emphasizing the importance of hospital data and that the validity of the data is the basis on which decisions are made that improve health services provided to citizens.
  3. Reviewing the medical services available in each hospital and exploiting all available resources in the hospital, with the aim of introducing new services that serve the governorate’s health map and raising the quality of medical services provided there.
  4. Conduct a self-evaluation of the hospital, set a vision for the coming year in the areas of business development, and utilize the hospital’s financial resources to ensure the progress and improvement of the health services provided.
  5. Visiting the hospital administration and the concerned departments of the directorate to the hospital warehouses to review the inventory and optimal utilization of everything in the hospital warehouses and joint cooperation between the hospitals.
  6. Following up on all electromechanical works and completing their maintenance work, as well as ensuring the renewal of all maintenance company contracts and their continuous follow-up.
  7. Achieving the lowest rates of malfunctions in medical devices, and continuous communication with the relevant companies to repair them and completely eliminate any malfunctions.
  8. Continuously monitoring occupancy rates in day care and nurseries.
  9. Reducing waiting times, quickly settling cases that need intensive care, and emphasizing that eliminating waiting lists for intensive care is a top priority.
