The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced the return of the installment system for customers’ contributions to the national project to deliver natural gas to homes as before, by implementing the installment system without down payment or interest, with installments being collected with the monthly consumption bill over 7 years. The contribution to the delivery companies of the public and private sectors will be financed by the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company.
This came within the framework of what was reported to the Ministry through multiple communication channels, whether through the unified government complaints portal or periodic meetings with Parliament representatives, the most recent of which was the meeting of the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources with Parliament representatives on 11/13/2024 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, as well as the meeting on 11/18/2024 With the heads of the parliamentary committees and members of the Nation’s Future Party, the Ministry received several complaints regarding the cancellation of the installment system for the contribution of customers of the national project to deliver natural gas to homes, which was cancelled. Last June, in light of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ keenness to listen to citizens and their representatives, and to make possible efforts to reduce the economic burdens on citizens,
The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources confirmed that any previous contracts concluded after the cancellation of the installment system last June will be included in the installment system again, and the companies executing the contracts must follow the procedures regulating that.
The Ministry indicated its constant keenness to meet the needs of citizens and respond to their demands, while following up on the implementation of these procedures on a regular basis, within the framework of enhancing effective communication between the Ministry, citizens, representatives, and various state agencies and institutions.
