The engineer received Muhammad Shimmy Today, Saturday, the Minister of Public Business Sector, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, at the headquarters of the Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in Mahalla El-Kubra, affiliated with the Holding Company for Cotton, Spinning, Weaving and Clothing, in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Issa, Deputy Governor of Gharbia.
Improving the performance of corporate clubs affiliated with the Ministry of Business Sector
During the meeting, they discussed enhancing joint cooperation, especially in improving the performance of corporate clubs affiliated with the Ministry of Public Business Sector, whether at the level of sports activity or social activity by providing distinguished services to members.
The two ministers stressed their keenness to preserve these clubs because of their history and distinguished name, as well as their connection not only to the companies but also to the places in which they are located, and their keenness to develop them and exploit all available energies and assets to maximize the achieved returns.
The two ministers held a meeting with a number of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate in Gharbia, as part of the keenness to enhance continuous communication and coordination with Parliament and its representatives, where a number of topics were discussed about work files and the visions and proposals presented by the representatives were listened to.
In another context, the textile industry represents one of the vital sectors in the Egyptian economy, as it plays a major role in supporting Egyptian exports and increasing local production. This sector also contributes mainly to strengthening the national economy by providing job opportunities for thousands of workers and increasing revenues from exports, which It makes it a fundamental pillar in the Egyptian economy, and the sector is distinguished by providing competitive products in global markets, which strengthens Egypt’s position as a major exporter of textiles at the international level.
Since Engineer Mohamed Shimi assumed his position as Minister of the Public Business Sector, he has been keen to follow the latest developments in the development work of the textile factories in the city of Mahalla, and to meet with the CEOs of companies affiliated with the Holding Company for Cotton, Spinning, Weaving and Clothing, to raise work efficiency, pay attention to training human cadres, and increase exports. And accelerating the pace of work, as the Minister conducts field tours around the clock, to find out about the development work of spinning and weaving factories.
The Minister of Public Business Sector is also keen on the final developments at Spinning Factory 1, at the Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in Mahalla, which is the largest spinning factory in the world, and reviewing the results of operating Spinning Factory 4, the first of the new factories, and its production rates and exports – which represent the majority of its production – to a number of… Foreign markets such as India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, America and Turkey.
