Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, inspected the work of establishing a center Magdi Yacoub International Foundation New Heart Diseases and Research Center in 6th of October City, where it was received by Dr. Magdy Ishaq, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Magdy Yacoub Foundation, and Dr. Zeina Tawakkol, Executive Director of the Foundation.
Dr. Maya Morsi was keen to inspect the corridors of the center, which is scheduled to open next year 2025, and was informed of the ongoing equipment in it. She also met with construction workers, praising the distinguished level of design of the center.
The Minister of Social Solidarity listened to a detailed explanation about the construction model and the functional program plan for working at the center and the services that will be provided during it, as it includes 35 outpatient clinics, and was built on an area of 35 acres. The building consists of 4 floors and 4 medical annexes, and the center has a capacity of 300 beds, which qualifies it to provide services. Medical care for approximately 12 thousand patients every year.
Dr. Maya Morsi praised what she saw as the work accomplished on the ground, expressing her pride in this giant edifice that aims to provide a distinguished medical model at the best international levels in treating heart diseases completely free of charge, and it also works to improve the level of medical care provided to heart patients in the entire region. In addition to providing training and conducting pioneering research that will benefit future generations.
