Social solidarity units in universities participated in the campaign to combat violence against women and girls, which is implemented by the Ministry of Social Solidarity in cooperation with the National Council for Women, as part of the activities of the 16-day campaign to combat violence against women.

The campaign activities, which were launched in a number of social solidarity units at universities, included organizing an awareness campaign through the units’ volunteers, with the aim of clarifying the impact of violence in its various forms on women and girls.
The Ministry of Social Solidarity explained that the campaign activities are scheduled to launch in the next few days at the level of 30 social solidarity units in Egyptian universities, and will address multiple topics focusing on the protection and safety of women, and enhancing their role in confronting all forms of violence, under the slogan “Together towards a safer society.” For women.”
It is worth noting that the social solidarity units carry out a number of activities within universities, including those related to developing students’ personal skills and building their personalities, in addition to spreading awareness about many different issues in light of the ministry’s programs and services, including combating violence against women and girls.
