Major General Dr. Abdel Fattah Siraj, Governor of Sohag, announced the launch of a new set of distinguished services for health insurance beneficiaries, within the framework of the plan to develop the health system in the governorate, indicating that these measures come at a time when the governorate is witnessing a comprehensive development of the health system in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Population. To provide the best medical services to the citizens of Sohag.
Dr. Mohamed Khalaf, General Manager of the Sohag Health Insurance Branch, explained that the new services included “the development of the nurseries and premature infants department at Al Hilal Hospital, where 10 new nurseries were added, bringing the total number of nurseries in the hospital to 18 nurseries, which contributes to improving health care services for premature children.” The unit is equipped with modern medical equipment, including a servo and capsule device, and five C PAP machines, through donation. An interventional radiology department has been created in the hospital, and the branch has contracted with an elite group of specialized university professors to provide services such as “injecting liver tumors and taking tumor samples.”
Opening a number of specialized medical committees in Sohag
Within the framework of enhancing health services, a number of specialized medical committees were also opened that will help provide accurate health care to citizens in various specialties, including the Corneal Transplant Committee, the Vascular Surgery Committee, and the Adult Hematology Committee, in addition to updating existing medical committees, such as cochlear implantation. , liver tumors, breast tumors, and the Growth Hormone Deficiency Committee, to provide comprehensive and regular service to beneficiaries. Customer service centers were also opened to cover all clinics and health centers in the governorate, and the customer service center at Al Hilal Hospital, which makes it easier for beneficiaries to obtain services with ease and convenience.
In line with plans to expand health insurance services, 3 card issuance and statistics centers were opened in “Girga, Akhmim, and Tahta,” which contributes to alleviating congestion and facilitating procedures for beneficiaries, after this service was limited to the main headquarters only for more than 18 years. .
The Governor of Sohag stressed that these efforts aim to improve the level of health services provided to citizens, and to provide distinguished health care for all health insurance beneficiaries in the governorate, noting that these steps are part of the governorate’s plan to develop the health sector and meet the needs of citizens.
