Major General Pilot A.H. Akram Muhammad Jalal, Governor of Ismailia, made a surprise tour of Sultan Hussein Street, after following up on scenarios for dealing with rainfall in Al-Mammar Square yesterday evening, Monday.
Sultan Hussein Street is one of the famous tourist attractions and the most prominent commercial streets in Ismailia. During his tour, the governor expressed his dissatisfaction with some negative practices by some citizens, such as leaving waste and throwing it in the street despite the availability of garbage cans along the street.
The governor, head of the first district, directed the need to intensify cleaning campaigns and increase work cycles to improve the level of services, stressing the importance of direct cooperation with street residents and shop owners to enhance the level of cleanliness. He also appealed to citizens to adopt positive behaviors to preserve the beauty of the city, especially since Sultan Hussein Street reflects the cultural and touristic character of Ismailia.
The governor was accompanied on his tour by Major General Tariq Al-Yamani, Assistant Secretary General of the Governorate, Brigadier General Muhammad Faraj Shaalan, Military Advisor to the Governorate, Brigadier Wael Hamza, Head of the Center and City of Ismailia, Amir Abdullah, Head of Awal District, Eng. Ahmed Al-Shimi, Director General of Roads and Transport, along with a number One of the executive leaders in the governorate.
The governor stressed the importance of enhancing community awareness of the importance of maintaining public cleanliness, especially in vital places that represent the face of the city to its visitors and residents alike.
