Engineer Adel Al-Najjar revealed Governor GizaThe governorate seeks to replace the manual government slaughterhouses located within the residential bloc with automated ones with technological specifications and modern means, in cooperation with all concerned authorities in the state to eliminate the environmental problems resulting from them and the damage they cause to the infrastructure.
The Governor of Giza indicated that coordination was made with Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and it was approved to allocate 20 acres on the Oasis Road within the 6th of October City to establish a modern automated slaughterhouse, as an alternative to the El-Munib slaughterhouses in southern Giza, Al-Warraq, Nahia, and Kerdasa.
He pointed out that the foundation stone will be laid in the coming days to begin the implementation process within the framework of the state’s plan to encourage the culture of slaughter within slaughterhouses, criminalize street slaughter, pay attention to the health of citizens, and provide safe, high-quality red meat that will be examined by veterinarians.

The Governor of Giza explained that the project comes in line with the Ministry of Local Development’s plan to develop government slaughterhouses, raise their efficiency, and establish new slaughterhouses, thanking Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, for the constant support and cooperation in implementing many projects to improve the quality of services provided to citizens based on the state’s vision for sustainable development. 2030.
The Governor of Giza appreciated the existing cooperation with the Ministry of Housing in implementing a number of service projects for citizens, stressing that the ease of access to it was taken into account in choosing the location of the new automated slaughterhouse, whether for the centers sector or the neighborhoods, especially after the great boom that the road system witnessed in the governorate, as well as the fulfillment of environmental requirements away from the residential bloc. .
The Governor of Giza indicated that the massacre sites that will be evacuated in southern Giza, Warraq, and Kerdasa will be used to establish service facilities for citizens, “a real estate developer, schools, a cultural market,” and other projects according to the needs identified in each sector, in order to raise the efficiency of services provided to the people of the aforementioned areas.
