Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Fayoum, approved amendments to the strategic plans for the cities of “Fayoum, Tamiya, and Youssef Al-Siddiq,” in preparation for implementing them, and amending the detailed plans for the three cities, within the framework of the governorate’s keenness to facilitate licensing procedures for citizens.

This came in the presence of Major General Diaa El-Din Abdel Hamid, Secretary General of the Governorate FayoumAhmed Shaker, Assistant Secretary-General, and Engineer Magdy Riya, Head of the Regional Center for North Upper Egypt at the General Authority for Urban Planning.
The Governor of Fayoum confirmed that the strategic plans for cities come within the state’s plan to facilitate citizens in licensing procedures, define areas for new urban extensions, control the random growth of buildings, improve the urban environment, implement new building requirements and prevent encroachment on state property, stressing the need to accelerate Completing detailed plans for cities whose strategic plans have been completed.
He added that the Permanent Committee for Approval of Urban Estates had decided to amend the urban space of the cities of Fayoum, Tamiya, and Youssef Al-Siddiq, and to cancel the implementation of the planning and building regulations issued in March 2021. The draft general strategic plan was also reviewed and approved by the General Authority for Urban Planning, while adhering to the principles and conditions for implementing buildings. He directed the head of the Regional Center for North Upper Egypt at the General Authority for Urban Planning to quickly include the requirements that were approved in the strategic plans, within the detailed plans. For cities, to facilitate citizens in licensing procedures.
For his part, the head of the Regional Center for North Upper Egypt at the General Authority for Urban Planning explained that the strategic plans for the cities of Fayoum, Tamiya, and Youssef Al-Siddiq will be approved by the Minister of Housing, in preparation for working on them, and amending the detailed plans for these three cities, indicating that with regard to the strategic plans for the cities of Atsa and Abshway And Youssef Al-Siddiq, it is being implemented in accordance with the new amendments, and procedures for amending the detailed plans of these cities can begin.
