The general union announced For land transportation Headed by Ashraf Al-Dokar, its efforts, in cooperation with the Land and International Transport Regulatory Authority, headed by Engineer Diaa El-Din Mustafa, succeeded in retrieving the drivers of 10 Egyptian trucks that were loaded with exports and stuck through the Al-Jaber border crossing between Syria and Jordan after the recent developments in the region, stressing its full support for its members who are land transport drivers. Those stuck in conflict areas.

Ashraf Al-Dokar expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the relevant state authorities and the Ministry of Transport for their pivotal role in resolving the crisis of drivers stranded in Syrian territory.

He added: We have communicated with the drivers since the escalation of events in Syria, and in coordination with the relevant state authorities, we were able to open the border crossings in cooperation with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which contributed to the safe return of the drivers to the homeland.

Al-Dokar stressed that the General Union of Land Transport always stands by its members, supporting them in the face of the most difficult circumstances, and constantly strives to provide protection and support to them at all times.

He concluded his statement by emphasizing the union’s commitment to continuing its efforts to resolve any crises facing the land transport sector and its members, and to work to support drivers to ensure the stability of their work and safety.
