Funeral of referee Ashraf Rashad
A number of former referees participated in the funeral prayer over the body of the late referee Ashraf Rashad, led by Samir Othman, Ayman Degish, and Mohamed Odeh, the former Arab Contractors coach, and the body was held in Sheikh Ghorab Mosque.
Immediately after the completion of the funeral prayer following the Friday prayer at Sheikh Ghorab Mosque, the funeral was held to bury the body of former referee Ashraf Rashad in the family cemetery in New Cairo.
Earlier, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, confirmed that he was monitoring the health condition of referee Ashraf Rashad after the crisis he was exposed to.
The Ministry published an official statement, clarifying that Ashraf Sobhi was informed of all the details related to the referee’s health condition.
The Minister of Youth and Sports directed the Supreme Committee for Medical Care for Athletes to provide everything necessary to treat him, identify the most important medical care his condition needs, and follow up on developments in his health condition.
