Today, Sunday, the National Media Authority, headed by writer Ahmed Al-Muslimani, held its first meeting after announcing its new formation, after the head of the authority and members of other media bodies took the constitutional oath before the House of Representatives.

The plenary session of the House of Representatives, headed by Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali, witnessed the taking of the constitutional oath by Ahmed Al-Maslamani, Chairman of the National Media Authority, amid warm applause from the representatives and the audience.

After the swearing-in ceremony ended, Al-Maslamani headed to the Commission’s headquarters to officially begin performing his work duties.

The constitutional oath-taking ceremony was attended by members of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, the National Press Authority, and the National Media Authority, who watched the scene from the balconies of the House of Representatives.

It is noteworthy that the National Media Authority Law No. 178 of 2018 stipulates that the head of the authority must take the constitutional oath before assuming his duties, pledging to preserve the republican system, the constitution, and the law, and to carry out his duties with honesty and honesty.
