Dr. Mahmoud Saad Jaheen, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments, said In AssiutThe preliminary oral qualification tests for the Hajj delegation escort competition for the year 1446 AH – 2025 AD have been completed at the General Office of the Endowments Directorate in Assiut.

The committee was chaired by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments in Assiut, and participated in its membership: Sheikh Muhammad Abdel Latif Mahmoud, Director General of Da’wah and Cultural Centers, Dr. Darwish Morsi Abdel Moati, Professor of General Jurisprudence at the Islamic Girls College, Dr. Mahmoud Shaaban, and Sheikh Ahmed Kamal Ali, Religious Guidance Officer. In the directorate, in addition to Sheikh Mahmoud Ezzat Mahmoud, one of the distinguished imams.

He added that the committee tested the imams and preachers applying for the competition from various specializations, as the tests included the Holy Qur’an, jurisprudence, and the Arabic language. The evaluation was based on precise criteria for selecting individuals with scientific and religious competence, with the aim of selecting the best elements who will represent this year’s Hajj delegation.

The tests witnessed a distinguished attendance and strong competition among the participating imams, female preachers, faculty members and their assistants accredited in the Fatwa and Iqra Councils and the Da’wah convoys in the Directorate.

Dr. Mahmoud Saad Shaheen expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the participants, stressing that this competition comes within the framework of the Ministry of Endowments’ permanent endeavor to raise the level of preaching and religious performance of imams and preachers, and to enhance their role in guidance and guidance during the Hajj season.

Committee members praised the high efficiency demonstrated by the applicants, which reflects their keenness to provide the best services to pilgrims and contribute to the success of the Egyptian delegation during the upcoming Hajj season.

The committee stressed that the selection of companions for the Hajj delegation is done with great care to ensure the provision of the necessary support and guidance to the pilgrims, which contributes to achieving a distinct and safe Hajj experience.
