Cairo 24 learned that Hani Abu Rida informed the members of the Football Association’s Board of Members of his desire to announce the name of the foreign expert to the Referees Committee on December 20, following the second Board of Directors meeting scheduled for December 19, in order to begin work during the next stage.

The Football Association decided, earlier, to accept the resignation of the referees’ committee, and to form a committee to manage arbitration affairs until a foreign expert is appointed, and it includes Captain Wajih Ahmed, Captain Hisham Salah Mustafa, Captain Jihad Greisha, Dr. Azab Hajjaj, and Captain Fahim Omar, with Captain James Hanna appointed as financial director for the referees and assigned to him. Submitting a report on referees’ dues urgently.
Cairo 24 learned that the Referees Committee, headed by Wagih Ahmed, was the one that was decided upon by Football Association officials, to work with the next foreign expert.
Decisions of the Football Association at its first meeting
1- Hussein Awad was appointed to serve as the Federation’s Financial Director, and Mohamed Zahir was appointed as Deputy Financial Director.
2- Assigning the executive and financial departments to form committees to complete the handover and delivery operations within ten days from the date.
2- Assigning the Executive Director to submit a report on any appointments or contracts made during the last six months to examine their legality and feasibility.
4- Thanking all the Union’s committees and assigning the departments to conduct business temporarily.
5- Accepting the resignation of the referees’ committee and forming a committee to manage arbitration affairs until a foreign expert is appointed, and it includes Captain Wajih Ahmed, Captain Hisham Salah Mustafa, Captain Jihad Jarisha, Dr. Azab Hajjaj, and Captain Fahim Omar, with Captain James Hanna appointed as financial director of the referees and tasked with submitting a report on the referees’ dues urgently. .
6- Thanking the branch committees and assigning the executive director and financial director of each branch to manage the work until the new formation.
7- Forming a committee headed by Mr. Khaled Al-Dirandali, Vice President of the Federation, and Muhammad Abu Hussein, Member of the Board of Directors, to submit a detailed study of the Federation’s financial position and present it to the Council at its next meeting.
8- Forming a committee headed by Counselor Ahmed Helmy Al-Sharif and Mr. Tariq Abu Al-Enein, members of the Council, to review the federation’s contracts.
9- Forming a committee headed by Mr. Mohamed El-Sherbiny and Mustafa Abu Zahra, members of the Council, and Dr. Ashraf Moussa to submit a detailed report on the branches before they are reconstituted.
10- Assigning the technical administration to submit a report on the national teams, along with their commitments during the coming period, in order to present it to the technical committee after its formation, in addition to presenting what has been done regarding the International Federation’s projects and development programmes.
11- Assigning Mr. Sayed Bakhit as Director of Competitions Department to coordinate and present the current position of all departments before making any decisions regarding the upcoming seasons.
12- Assigning Council member Walid Darwish to study and present the position of Sunni stage competitions with all their names.
13- Council member Enas Mazhar and Mrs. Hiam Baraka were assigned to present the position on women’s football activity at all levels.
14- Assigning Osama Ismail to work as Director of the Media Department and presenting his vision of the administration’s needs for the coming period, while assigning him to play the role of the Federation’s media spokesman.
15- Warning all members of the federation in its departments, committees, branches and national teams not to appear or speak to various media outlets without prior permission.
