First semester exams for third year middle school students
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education has set the specifications for the examination paper for mathematics, algebra and geometry, for the first semester of the current academic year 2024/2025, for the preparatory certificate “third year of preparatory school,” explaining that the exam includes 10% of questions for memorization, 30% for understanding, 40% for application, and 20% for problem solving. .
The Ministry of Education added: The exam paper includes two sets of questions. The first set consists of 9 multiple-choice items, each with one item, and the second group consists of 7 essay items, each with 3 marks.
The Ministry stressed that the examination paper is scored out of 30 points and then divided by 2 to obtain the student’s score out of 15. This specification applies if the answer is in a separate answer booklet (the current traditional format) or the answer is in the same booklet.
