The Board of Trustees of Assiut National University was held; A meeting, at the university office headquarters Assiut In Cairo, headed by Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs, and former Minister of Health.
This came in the presence of Dr. Wael El-Dagawy, former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, and Commissioner for the management of Assiut National University, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Samie, former President of Assiut University and Secretary of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Nobi Mohamed Hassan, Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs, and distinguished members of the Council.
The Board of Trustees of Assiut National University agrees to provide medical insurance service for students
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, praised; With the distinguished educational system witnessed by Assiut National University; It relies mainly on distinguished programs in various fields of science. Which helped attract students to enroll in studies in its various theoretical and scientific colleges, which reflects what the university has succeeded in achieving in enriching the educational environment. With the aim of providing graduates who have the necessary skills and knowledge; To become outstanding citizens in their community, constantly seeking opportunities to learn, grow, and become entrepreneurs; In different fields of work.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Assiut National University reviewed: The great interest received by the project of establishing private universities in the various governorates of the Republic. From the strong and witnessed support of the political leadership, and the interest and continuous endeavor given by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and the primary supporter of that national project. To meet the needs of private universities and provide the necessary capabilities; In order to ensure the achievement of the desired goal of its establishment; To be in the ranks of smart universities; In various countries of the developed world.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Minshawy pointed out that Assiut National University has been progressing at a rapid pace since the start of studies three years ago. It succeeded in completing most of the furnishing, technical, and academic equipment, in addition to starting to establish an integrated administrative system. To achieve regularity and good workflow at the National University, noting that work is underway. In order to increase the number of university colleges, double the various and distinctive study programs it offers, and form international partnerships with various advanced universities.
Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy explained that the success of the work at Assiut National University; It is the result of the success of joint efforts between Assiut State University and the National University, and what this includes; From permanent and continuous coordination between those in charge of work at the two universities, and the public university’s keenness to harness the scientific capabilities it possesses, or distinguished human cadres. To serve and continue the educational process at the National University; In providing all means of logistical, scientific, and human support to the nascent university.
Dr. Al-Minshawy indicated that the meeting witnessed the approval of the Board of Trustees; On the adoption of the internal regulations of Assiut National University; The unified guidelines for private universities affiliated with public universities, as well as approval to provide medical insurance services; For students of Assiut National University.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Samie, Secretary of the Board of Trustees, stated that the session included approval of the rules and procedures for accepting high school students and equivalent certificates at Assiut National University, and the request submitted by the faculty members and workers at Assiut State University; By offering a special discount to their children studying at Assiut National University.
It is worth noting that the session witnessed the presence of Dr. Ezzat Abdullah, former president of Assiut University, Dr. Mohamed Sayed Mohamed, former president of Sohag University, Dr. Mohamed Salah El-Din Mahmoud, former vice president of Assiut University, Dr. Mohamed Mohamed Abdel Latif, former vice president of Assiut University, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Moneim Bakr, dean. Former Faculty of Medicine at Assiut University, and Dr. Ismail Sabry Moqled, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Commerce at Assiut University. A number of members also participated via video conference, which included participation from Germany from Dr. Ibrahim Rizk Rafael Samak, member of the Advisory Council for Egyptian Scientists and Experts and former President of the European Council for Renewable Energy. And participation from Japan from Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, Professor of Plant Biotechnology at the National Research Center, and participation from Dr. Ahmed Abdo Geis, former President of Assiut University. A number of academic and administrative topics related to Assiut National University were discussed.
