A number of divers spotted the appearance of a large manta ray, which rarely appears on the beaches of Hurghada, as its original habitat is at the bottom, during a diving trip on board a tourist boat on a cruise, accompanied by foreign tourists who are diving enthusiasts on the beaches of Hurghada.

Ahmed Bijou, the organizer of diving trips in Hurghada, revealed that a large ray, approaching two metres, was spotted during a diving trip on the beaches of Hurghada.
He pointed out that the ray fish is one of the rare marine creatures whose sight attracts foreign tourists who are diving enthusiasts, and tourists come from all over Europe to see it at the bottom of the sea.
He explained that the tourists were keen to interact and showed signs of happiness and took pictures and videos of it, which contributes to revitalizing diving tourism and creating a tourism boom for the city of Hurghada.
Dr. Mahmoud Maati at the Institute of Marine Sciences in Hurghada explained that the ray fish is rarely found on the beaches, as its original habitat is at the bottom, and it is a rare marine creature, and its appearance indicates the cleanliness of the marine environment.
He confirmed that fish Rai attract foreign tourists who are diving enthusiasts, as they are found at depths of up to 12 metres. They bury themselves in the sand, and tourists enjoy seeing them shaking themselves out of the sand while moving.
