Within the framework of its national role and social responsibility, and in implementation of the objectives of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Building,” the Agricultural Bank of Egypt and the Egyptian Ambulance Authority signed a cooperation protocol under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt with the aim of developing and raising the efficiency of ambulance points in a number of governorates, through the establishment of the Agricultural Bank of Egypt. By providing the necessary equipment for 100 ambulance points on highways, as a contribution from the Bank to strengthening the vital role played by the Ambulance Authority in providing urgent health care to citizens in those governorates.
The protocol was signed by Sami Abdel Sadiq, Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Bank of Egypt, and Dr. Amr Rashid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Ambulance Authority, in the presence of Professor Ghada Tawfiq, Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt for Social Responsibility, and a number of leaders and officials of the Agricultural Bank of Egypt and the Ambulance Authority.
This protocol comes in implementation of the directives of the Central Bank of Egypt to urge the banking sector to finance and implement a number of priority projects in the areas of social responsibility and financial inclusion, which contributes to achieving the goals of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Building,” which represents a model of cooperation between all state institutions to provide support. For all segments of society and lifting the burden on citizens to improve their quality of life.
According to the protocol, the Agricultural Bank of Egypt is contributing to providing the necessary equipment, including beds, electrical appliances, and others, to furnish 100 ambulance points on highways and main axes in each of the governorates of Qena, Luxor, Aswan, Sohag, New Valley, and the Red Sea, to contribute to raising the efficiency of the infrastructure of the ambulance system and enhancing its role. On this occasion, Mr. Sami Abdel Sadiq, Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Bank of Egypt, expressed his happiness with the fruitful and constructive cooperation with the Egyptian Ambulance Authority, appreciating the important role played by this vital facility in providing urgent medical care services to save the lives of many citizens every day.
He stressed that signing a cooperation protocol with the Ambulance Authority comes from the Agricultural Bank of Egypt’s keenness to support all the state’s efforts to achieve sustainable development in its comprehensive sense, and its societal role in supporting all pioneering initiatives to advance society, raise the standard of living of citizens, and improve their quality of life, which represents a realistic translation of the initiative. In the same context, Dr. Amr Rashid stressed that the signing of this protocol is a realistic translation of the concept of complementarity between all state institutions, with its broad societal perspective, which places the health, safety and security of the Egyptian citizen at the top of its priorities, as the main engine of the development engine, which paves the way for achieving the leadership’s vision.
