According to what was published by Reuters, this visit comes in implementation of a promise made by President Biden to visit the African region, especially sub-Saharan Africa, during his presidency, which aims to strengthen the Lobito Corridor project, which connects the resource-rich Democratic Republic of the Congo and Zambia to the Angolan port of Lobito on the Atlantic Ocean.
