With souvenirs and sweets, a number of Sudanese students in Egypt were keen to express to the Egyptians their gratitude for the good reception.
In the streets of Al-Mahrousa, with their smiling faces, unfeigned innocence, and their dark skin that adds to the beauty of the scene, the students inspected the streets, and whenever they passed an Egyptian, they gave him a symbolic gift of Bonboni, or candy or chocolate, and a card on which was written: Thank you, Egypt, and in the background were the flags of the two countries, Egypt and Sudan.
In turn, Hajar Al-Koda, an official at the Sudanese Al-Koda Educational Schools in Egypt, said that this initiative comes within the framework of expressing our thanks to the Egyptians for their warm reception of us, their continued support, and the innocence of the children in their love for the Egyptians who embraced them and welcomed them to their second country.
Al-Kouda added during her interview with Cairo 24: Thank you for Egypt’s brotherhood and love. Indeed, we are not alienated while we are in Egypt. We are here among our people, not far away.
During his meeting with Al-Burhan, Al-Sisi stressed the Egyptian position seeking a ceasefire in Sudan
Earlier, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, on the sidelines of the twelfth session of the World Urban Conference, which was held in Cairo.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the meeting included confirmation of the strength and solidity of the historical ties that bring together the two brotherly countries at the official and popular levels, and in this context, the President was keen to confirm the continued Egyptian support for brotherly Sudan at all levels, to get out of the crisis it is going through, stressing the Egyptian position. Firm and striving for a ceasefire and stopping the blood of brothers in Sudan, reviewing the Egyptian efforts on the regional and international arenas pushing in this direction.
For his part, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan appreciated the Egyptian role, praising the sincere Egyptian support for the calm efforts in Sudan, and Egypt’s keenness to preserve the unity, safety and stability of Sudan, and affirming its appreciation and all the Sudanese people for the Egyptian people hosting their Sudanese brothers during the crisis.
