President Sisi’s speech at the official dinner in Denmark

The text of President Sisi’s speech during the official dinner is as follows:

Allow me to express to you my sincere thanks and gratitude for the excellent reception and distinguished hospitality, from the moment I arrived in the friendly Kingdom of Denmark… on the first visit of an Egyptian president to this ancient country.

I also take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to Her Majesty Queen Margaret II for good health and safety… and I wish you all a Merry Christmas… and to the entire world, a Happy New Year.

The common goals that bring us together today represent an important bridge of communication and dialogue between our two friendly countries. They are a valuable opportunity to enhance cooperation in various fields, to reach the strategic horizons that we aspire to.

At this critical stage in human history, we must bear a joint responsibility to spread the values and principles of justice and peace, equality, tolerance and mutual respect between nations and cultures, and to reject wars, violence and hatred.

It was natural for the Kingdom of Denmark to be the first stop on my tour in Northern Europe… just as Denmark chose Egypt as its gateway to the African continent… within the framework of its strategy for cooperation with African countries.

There is no doubt that my visit to Denmark comes at a time when our bilateral relations are witnessing remarkable growth in multiple areas of cooperation, in addition to continuous coordination on regional and international issues of common interest.

We look forward to this culminating in the signing tomorrow of a declaration that raises the level of relations to a strategic partnership.

The launch of the “Egyptian-Danish” Business Council today, and the consensus that prevailed in my conversations with Your Majesty, and with the CEOs of the largest Danish companies operating in Egypt, reflects a firm conviction in the importance of continuing to strengthen bilateral relations, especially in the economic and investment field, in light of the possibilities and opportunities. Available in Egypt and Denmark.

I am confident that the spirit that prevailed in our meetings today will continue in my upcoming talks tomorrow, with the Prime Minister and the Speaker of Parliament, which confirms the commitment of our two countries to strengthening their bilateral relations as strategic partners.
