The village of Al-Khabi, affiliated to the Qalin center in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, witnessed the death of a housewife, in a fire that broke out inside her house, as a result of a butane gas leak in her residential apartment, as there was a leak in the butane gas tube inside the kitchen, which was not well ventilated, while she was going to prepare a cup of tea. A sudden ignition occurred, causing the woman’s death as a result of the fire. The villagers then tried to extinguish the fire and assist civil defense in controlling it, while the woman’s body was transported from Ambulance route to Qalin Model Hospital.
Details of the incident
The beginning was when Major General Ihab Attia, Assistant Minister of the Interior and Director of Security of Kafr El-Sheikh, received a notification from Colonel Ahmed Al-Ashraf Al-Maghazi, Chief of the Qalin Police Station, stating that a report had been received of a fire in the village of Al-Khabi, affiliated with the center’s district, where fire engines were dispatched to control the fire.
Immediately, the commander of the Qalin police station, accompanied by a number of station officers, moved to the village, where fire trucks took control of the fire and found the body of a housewife named Hoda Riyad Abdel Majeed Al-Khabi, 35 years old, residing in the apartment where the fire broke out.
Upon questioning her family, they decided that while she was in the residential apartment where the incident occurred, she went to the kitchen to make a cup of tea, and during that time the fire occurred as a result of a gas leak from the stove pipe, so the body was transferred to the Qalin Central Hospital morgue at the disposal of the investigation authorities.
