The Third Criminal Circuit of Appeal in Mansoura decided to refer the papers of those accused of getting rid of the child Youssef to His Eminence the Mufti of the Republic to obtain a legal opinion on their execution, and the session was set for the second day of next December to pronounce the ruling.

The decision was issued under the chairmanship of Counselor Saudi El-Sherbiny, with the membership of Counselors Abdullah Abdullah Mutawa, Ahmed Ali Al-Mashd, Mr. Abdo Mansour, and the secretariat of Mahmoud Al-Sayed Mahmoud and Mr. Mustafa Ragab, in Case No. 11596 of 2023, registered as No. 2336 of 2023 in North Mansoura.
The Mansoura Criminal Court had sentenced a law student and a worker to death by hanging, and to life imprisonment for a housewife, for killing the child, “Youssef Gouda,” after they threw him alive into the canal, for the purpose of financially blackmailing his father, in the session of last May 21.
The decision to refer the defendants to the Mansoura Criminal Court stated that the Public Prosecution accuses: “Alaa H.M.A.Z,” 29 years old, student at the Faculty of Law, residing in the village of Shawami, Al-Stamuni Center, and “Mr. A.M.A.” “, 50 years old, residing in Al-Shawami village, Al-Stamouni center, and “Rana M.A.L.M.,” 37 years old, a housewife, residing in Ezbet Al-Zaini, Belqas center, because on 10/28/2023, in Al-Stamouni Center district – Dakahlia Governorate. The first and second defendants killed the child victim, “Youssef A F A J,” intentionally and with premeditation, by agreeing on their will and drawing up a criminal plan to kidnap the victim and detain him in the store of the second defendant. Fearing that their matter would be exposed, they resolved and intended to take his life, and they prepared for this. Purpose: “cement stone – rope” tools, tied him up, gagged him, and forcefully took him into the car of the second defendant’s brother to the place of his death, tied him up with a cement stone, and threw him into a stream alive, intending to take his life. His death occurred as shown in the autopsy report. .
