According to the figures, the number of mobile phone subscribers increased to 109.04 million subscribers at the end of April 2024, compared to 108.6 million at the end of March 2024, and 102.90 million subscribers at the end of April 2023, and by the end of 2022 the number of subscribers reached 102 million, compared to 101 million in 2021, in While the number of subscribers during the year 2020 did not exceed 96 million, according to data from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
The number of mobile phone subscribers reached 90% of the total phone service subscribers in April-June 2024, while the growth rate of the communications and information technology sector increased by about 16.3% in the fiscal year 2022/2023. The sector has become the highest-growing sector in the country for 5 consecutive years.
The communications and information technology sector achieved revenues amounting to 315 billion pounds in the current fiscal year, with a growth rate of about 75%.
As for the current prices of recharge cards for all companies, they are: a 10-pound recharge card, which is sold at a price of 12 pounds and provides an actual balance of 8.5 pounds, and a 25-pound recharge card, which is sold at a price of 30 pounds and provides a balance of 21.5 pounds, while a 50-pound card is sold at a price of 60 pounds and provides A balance of 42.5 pounds, and finally the 100 pound card is sold for 120 pounds and provides a balance.
