Postponing the hearing of an accused’s appeal against his imprisonment in the Aswan bribery case

The Court of Appeal held in Abbasiya decided today, Tuesday, to postpone the appeal session of a defendant accused in the case known in the media as “Aswan Water Bribery,” against the ruling issued against him to 15 years in prison and a fine of 5 million pounds, to the session of next January 15.

The Cairo Criminal Court, held in the North Cairo Courts Complex in Abbasiya, sentenced the first and third defendants to 15 years and a fine of 5 million pounds, and sentenced the second defendant to 5 years in prison, dismissal from his job, and acquitted the rest of the defendants, in the case known in the media as the Aswan Water Bribery.

During the case, the prosecutor revealed that the same defendants commanded and led them to pursue evil and the steps of Satan, as their situation turned from power to humiliation, after the first defendant betrayed the honor of public office.
