Cairo – Live: Adel Al-Ghadhban, Governor of Port Said, said that work is underway to convert 11 gas stations to operate with natural gas, in addition to gasoline as a first stage in various neighborhoods of the governorate. Among 6 governorates, converting cars to natural gas is being applied to confront crowding at natural gas fuel stations. In implementation of the state’s plan to expand natural gas stations within the national program to convert cars to run on natural gas.
Al-Ghadhban added on Sunday that a number of stations will be established during the next three months and converted to operate with natural gas to meet the demand for gas stations and provide all facilities and remove obstacles to expand the establishment of natural gas stations, in accordance with the requirements and procedures for licensing and operation, according to the Middle East News Agency.
This meeting was held by the governor with officials of the Gastec and Cargas company, in the presence of the deputy governor, Engineer Amr Othman, the general secretary of the governorate, Youssef Al-Shahed, and the heads of districts and relevant agencies.
During the meeting, the Governor decided to form a committee headed by the Director of the Governance Department and a number of different parties to visit the stations currently in operation to follow up on the progress of work and present a weekly report on what has been accomplished.
