Investigative authorities in Beni Suef Governorate stated that the bodies of a mother and her two children who were killed yesterday evening, Sunday, were buried inside their home in the village of Baha in the Beni Suef Center, as a result of suffocation due to a gas leak.
The people of Baha village in the Beni Suef Center are waiting for the bodies to come out of the mortuary in the Beni Suef Specialized Hospital after the washing is completed, and the funeral prayer is performed over them before they are carried to their final resting place.
The details of the incident are due to the security services in the Beni Suef Security Directorate receiving a notification from the Rescue Police Operations Room, stating that a report had been received that the bodies of three members of a single family, “a mother and her two sons,” suspected of suffocation due to a gas leak, had been found inside their home in the village of Baha in the Beni Suef Police Station.
Immediately, the relevant security services moved to the site of the accident upon receiving the report, where the place was inspected and the necessary measures were taken. It was found that the mother, “Iman Rabie Muhammad Owais,” 36 years old, had died, and her two children: “Adham Hamada Owais” (13 years old) and “ Sajda Hamada Owais (10 years old), who were found dead inside their home.
Initial investigations indicated that their death was suspected due to a gas leak. The bodies were transferred to Beni Suef General Hospital to conduct the necessary medical examinations and determine the exact cause of death. Administrative and legal measures were taken, a report was drawn up regarding the incident, and the investigation authorities were notified.
