A number of students at the National University in Alexandria circulated pictures and video clips of the collapse of parts of the ceiling of the Faculty of Medicine lecture hall.
Medical students at the National University in Alexandria complain that the roof of a lecture hall collapsed due to rain
A student stated that they were surprised by the collapse of parts of the roof panels due to the rain resulting from the broom’s core, which caused the roof made of gypsum board to be affected and part of it to collapse.
The student reported that the hall was immediately evacuated of students, and the accident caused a minor injury to a female student, while divine providence saved the rest of them.
A number of students complained about the lack of care for the buildings, demanding that an investigation be opened into this building and the rest of the ill-equipped buildings, despite their paying university fees.
A student named Menna Nassar commented: God suffices me, and He is the best disposer of affairs. I am a medical student and I was sitting in the hall where the accident happened. Thank God for everything, but some of us went to the hospital. There are people whose back hurts and people whose arm hurts. We are not paying 150 thousand pounds to go. A university like this is not equipped and we would die there, and after this shock, they told us to continue the day normally and go to the lectures.
