In recent hours, the Customs Authority announced its need to fill a number of positions on secondment starting in 2025, namely 120 drivers to join the Customs Authority under the secondment system.
These jobs come to meet the increasing work needs, according to the announcement on the government jobs portal website.
As for the requirements for jobs at the Customs Authority, they are that the applicant must be Egyptian, one of those appointed at the door with the first wages in a permanent position, and also have a qualification below the average, and be no more than 45 years old.
It is also required that the applicant passes a drug test, and some skills are also required, such as that the applicant must have a professional driving license valid on the date of publication of the advertisement, and drive the department’s cars to complete the work assigned to him, and he will receive the car from the garage after reviewing its contents to ensure the availability of gasoline and oils. And water in it.
Also, he will receive oil and gasoline bottles after recording them in the records designated for that purpose, and he will transport workers to and from the sites according to the work orders issued and approved for that purpose, as well as transporting the tasks, machines, and tools necessary for the work.
In the event that the position is filled, the applicant is also required to report malfunctions to the direct supervisor and the car’s needs for spare parts, maintain the car, follow traffic instructions while driving, and not violate the traffic lines specified in the job orders, and use the car for the purposes assigned to it in accordance with the assignments issued to it.
He also returns the car to the garage, as well as the daily work orders after the end of work, in order to ensure the car’s consumption of petroleum materials. He is required to adhere to the instructions, assignments, publications and work orders issued to him, and – perform all other tasks assigned to him related to the nature of the job’s work.
There are some technical skills that are required for applicants for jobs at the Egyptian Customs Authority, including sufficient knowledge of laws and traffic rules, being medically and physically fit, and having the ability to act well in crises, and being accurate, attentive, and of good behavior.
As for the documents required for Customs Authority jobs, they are a copy of the national ID card with the phone number written on it, a photocopy of a professional driving license valid on the date of publication of the advertisement, and a statement of employment status approved and stamped by the employer with the seal of the Republic’s logo, indicating “name, date of birth, and qualification obtained.” It indicates the general rating, date of appointment, specific group to which he belongs, penalties, if any, referral to criminal or disciplinary trial, if any, competency reports for the last two years, and vacations.
