Al-Bashir added in his speech following the session: Our government will conduct business for a transitional period that may end on March 1, 2025, and this is an assignment from the General Command until the first of next March.
Who is Muhammad Al-Bashir?
Muhammad al-Bashir served as head of the Salvation Government in Idlib before the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s regime, and he also served as Minister of Local Development in the same government until 2022.
Al-Bashir was born in Idlib Governorate in 1983. He obtained a degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the Department of Communications at the University of Aleppo in 2007, and a degree in Sharia and Law from the University of Idlib in 2021, and served as Director of Association Affairs.
Al-Bashir worked as head of the precision instrumentation department at the gas plant, affiliated with the Russian Gas Company, in 2011. He chaired the Council of Ministers of the Salvation Government in its seventh session at the beginning of this year, and was appointed as its president.
