Minor movements in copper and silver prices

Prices for precious metals, including platinum and silver, moved slightly on Wednesday. Among industrial metals, benchmark copper futures on the London Metal Exchange fell 0.3% to $9,096.0 per ton, while February copper futures fell 0.2% to $4.1895 per pound. .

Gold prices rose slightly on Wednesday as political turmoil in South Korea stimulated some safe-haven demand, although anticipation of more signals on US interest rates kept traders on the sidelines.

Spot gold rose 0.1% to $2,646.53 an ounce, while gold futures expiring in February rose 0.1% to $2,668.60 an ounce.

Broader metal prices were subdued on Wednesday and while the US central bank is expected to cut interest rates by 25 basis points in December, the long-term outlook for prices has become more uncertain in the face of flat inflation and inflationary policies under Trump. This uncertainty has sparked sharp gains in the dollar. This put pressure on metal prices in all areas.
