Confirm Engineer Muhammad ShimiMinister of Public Business Sector, said that an agreement had been reached with both the Emirates and Taiwan to manufacture minibuses using local manufacturing technologies, with the exception of the battery, which will be used from abroad at the current stage.
Manufacturing the first local car battery
Muhammad Shimi explained during television statements that it is expected that by 2027 the batteries will be manufactured locally.
Shimi added that there is a set of technical standards that the producing company will work on with the aim of developing local products, in addition to providing the necessary spare parts for these products to ensure the sustainability of local industries.
The minister continued, saying: The bus that was produced had been used in the Gulf countries, especially in the State of Qatar during the 2022 World Cup, and these buses will adhere to international standards in quality and manufacturing.
Shimi concluded his speech by noting that the Egyptian street will witness the return of Al-Nasr brand cars and buses to the market again, in line with the directives of the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister.
