Manufacturing 65 pharmaceutical preparations locally through international partnerships

Dr. Amr Mamdouh, President of the Egyptian Pharmaceutical City, Gepto Pharma, announced the manufacture of 65 pharmaceutical and medical preparations to treat chronic diseases, including diabetes, blood pressure, heart, digestive and nervous systems, tumors, and medical solutions.

Dr. Amr Mamdouh explained to Cairo 24 that there are partnerships with 8 international companies: Swiss, Japanese, American, German, and French. To localize the manufacturing of some traditional and vital medicines such as tumors and vaccines.

The head of the Egyptian Pharmaceutical City added that the first phase of manufacturing a liver tumor drug was localized in partnership with an international Swiss company, as well as localizing the manufacturing of insulin and vaccines locally, including the pneumococcal pneumococcal vaccine and the pentavalent vaccine.

Amr Mamdouh revealed negotiations with other companies to transfer manufacturing technology to Egypt in the fields of oncology and vaccines.

Earlier, the Medicines Authority participated in the activities of the third session of the Egyptian-Tajik Joint Committee for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, and discussed mechanisms for developing Egyptian-Tajik relations that extend over decades, in light of economic developments at the regional and international levels, which require concerted cooperation in… Joint efforts to support development areas between the two countries.

The Medicines Authority participated in the activities and meetings of the committee at the ministerial level regarding trade exchange in the fields of medicines and vaccines to open the Tajik medicine market to Egyptian pharmaceutical preparations. Due to its quality, safety and effectiveness, as well as the possibility of transferring manufacturing technology to Tajikistan.
