I wonder what is the secret of the hype over the new “Exceed” car, which was launched yesterday by the Ministry of Industry and raised the slogan “Made in Egypt”, and is this car the beginning of production or before it, and what are its features that make you buy it with peace of mind, we will tell you immediately. All the details are in this video, so stay tuned until the end.
In the last hours, Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of Industry and Transport, witnessed the launch of the Exceed car, which was produced in Egypt, and this was from the headquarters of the Egyptian German Automotive Company “Ega” factory on October 6.
“Waga” is a German company that obtained a permit to work in Egypt in partnership with the Egyptian government, and created production lines in its factory, and operates the complete assembly line for the Exceed car, the complete assembly line for the Mercedes car, the paint lines, and the final testing line, and all of this is before delivery.
This step comes within the plan to localize the automobile industry in Egypt, which is why Kamel Al-Wazir said that the launch of the new car comes in light of directives from President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to transform Egypt into a regional industrial center, especially the automobile industry.
Also, the localization plan extends to cooperation with local factories for car production, and this is to increase the percentage of local components used in the local car industry year after year and stop importing from abroad. And not only that, no, this is also to save hard currency and transform Egypt into a regional and global center for the production and manufacture of cars.
We can say that the Egyptian market is currently witnessing a diversity of locally manufactured cars, such as Nissan, General Motors, and also Al-Nasr Automotive Company, whose percentage of local components exceeds 50%, and this is a new achievement for the first time in history.
But if we look at the goal of operating these car production factories in Egypt, we will find many goals, the first of which is meeting local needs, dispensing with the idea of importing, and also providing all brands in the local market.
Due to the advantages of the new Arabic, we can say that it is a luxury industry, and the factory produces the two brands Mercedes-Benz and Exceed so that the local industry can meet the various needs and requirements of the Egyptian market, and this confirms that the skill of the Egyptian worker and his ability to work and produce in various industries is beyond dispute.
The Ega factory will produce 1,200 Mercedes cars and 3,000 Exceed cars annually, and will provide many job opportunities for young people. It is intended to increase its numbers by the new year 2025, and this will be by taking advantage of the national strategy for developing the automobile industry, in addition to increasing the local component, which includes parts for upholstery, glass, and seats. With high quality, and at the same time the company aims to open new markets for its cars, especially in the Arab region.
Finally, now the automobile industry in Egypt aims to reach the economies of mass production and qualify to establish an integrated automobile industry. This will contribute greatly to pumping more local and foreign investments, and also to support and encourage increasing the production capacities of factories with the aim of providing the needs of the local market and then exporting abroad with high quality and prices. competition.
