During the Prime Minister’s tour around the exhibition, he inspected the Al-Safi Group’s pavilion, where Safi Wahba, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Safi Group, gave a detailed explanation about the products of Al-Safi Factory for Advanced Local Industries. It relies on a pioneering infrastructure that includes 16 production lines dedicated to various fields, including the production of television screens, smartphones, communications devices, and cameras.
Safi Wahba pointed out that Al-Safi Group, in partnership with the Chinese “Xiaomi”, produced screens and smart phones in its factory in Egypt, which includes 6 lines for producing television screens, and 5 lines for producing smart phones with 4G technologies.
During his presence at the group’s pavilion, the Prime Minister was keen to inspect a displayed model of an electric SUV from the Xiaomi brand.
The Prime Minister also toured a number of pavilions for companies displaying the latest technologies in artificial intelligence, data centers and cloud computing, as well as those related to cybersecurity and solutions to enhance business efficiency, in order to enhance efficiencies and drive digital transformation in various sectors, and meet the growing and diverse needs of the market in this field. He also inspected the pavilions of a number of telecommunications companies, including Orange and Etisalat, where he listened to the two companies’ plans to provide the best services to their customers.
At the conclusion of his tour of the exhibition, the Prime Minister praised the good organization of the twenty-eighth edition of Cairo ICT’24, which was held this year under the slogan “The Next Wave,” noting that he was honored today to attend the opening of this conference on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, stressing at the same time the government’s continued strong support for the communications and information technology sector, as it is one of the main promising sectors that it relies on to lead the growth engine of the Egyptian economy during The next stage.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly stressed that the communications sector represents hope for Egypt’s youth and the true development train on which all other sectors depend, pointing out that this sector is witnessing rapid growth thanks to the efforts made in this regard to achieve the government’s vision of improving digital services and enhancing the use of technology to meet the needs of citizens.
